Digging in the dirt for shark teeth

North Carolina is pretty cool so far. I've been scooting all around, fishing and have looked for fossilized shark teeth. I also turned seven yesterday!

I saw a hawk yesterday. The water front sidewalk is good for scooting.

I got a new fishing pole. I like to cast it.

I went looking for fossilized shark teeth in Aurora the other day.

I turned seven yesterday. It was a super fun day. Dad made me an emoji cake, it had 12 oz of chocolate in it! YUM!

... Last time

The last time we sailed Lyra south was 3 years ago. My favorite place was Cumberland Island. I love the trees there. There are a lot of really old shark teeth (they are black) that you can find on the beach at low tide.

This is a photo of Lyra anchored at Cumberland Island when I was five. Lyra is the sailboat on the right

I love this tree. I was climbing this old live oak that my dad climbed when he was my age.
My best friend Jocelyn lives on Dulcinea, the boat next to Lyra. In this picture we were in the Bahamas. Right now they are sailing from Charleston, SC up the east coast of Florida. I want to catch up to them.

I am Jules

Hi, my name is Jules. How would you like to come on a trip with me? I might see fish, dolphins, and seagulls. Ask me a question, I'll answer it!

I live with my family aboard a sailboat named Lyra. I will be homeschooled this winter. We plan to sail to Florida and the Bahamas before coming back to Newport, RI in the spring.

Lyra sailing near Rose Island in Newport

Today is my last day at Pell Elementary School before we leave Newport. Right now, Lyra is in North Carolina waiting for us. I am excited to get back to my boat. It's been a month since we have been home!

This is me the last time we went south. I think I'm funny!
