When the tide goes out, it often leaves water in pools at the beach. They are great for splashing around in. In many tide pools, my feet sink into the sand. Others are hard and I can run through them.
Sometimes I find razor clam shells and critters like crabs and minnows. When the tide comes in, the pools are underwater and the critters can swim away.
